1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using QRe-AME at qr-ame.com, operated by Mariano Chena ("we", "our", or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service immediately.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Description of Service

QRe-AME is a free, browser-based QR code generator. The service allows users to:

  • Generate QR codes from URLs, text, phone numbers, or any supported data type
  • Customize QR code colors, size, and error correction level
  • Download QR codes as PNG image files
  • Share content via clipboard integration

All QR code generation is performed entirely client-side. No encoded data is transmitted to or stored on our servers.

⚠️ Beta Service: QRe-AME is currently in Beta. Features may change, and service availability is not guaranteed. Use in critical production environments at your own risk.

3. Permitted Use

You may use QRe-AME to generate QR codes for lawful personal, commercial, or educational purposes, including but not limited to:

  • Linking to websites, menus, catalogs, or digital content
  • Sharing contact information or social media profiles
  • Marketing materials for legitimate businesses
  • Educational projects and presentations

4. Prohibited Use

You agree NOT to use QRe-AME to generate QR codes that:

  • Link to malware, phishing sites, or fraudulent content
  • Distribute spam, unsolicited advertising, or deceptive material
  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Harass, threaten, or harm any individual or group
  • Distribute illegal content of any kind

We are not responsible for the content encoded in QR codes generated by users. You bear sole responsibility for the legality and appropriateness of your content.

5. Intellectual Property

QRe-AME Branding

The QRe-AME name, logo, and design elements are the intellectual property of Mariano Chena. Downloaded QR codes include a "Generated by QRe-AME" branding strip, which must not be removed for commercial redistribution without written permission.

Third-Party Libraries

QR code generation is powered by qrcode.js by davidshimjs, used under the MIT License.

Your Content

You retain all rights to the URLs, text, and data you encode. We claim no ownership over user-generated QR content.

6. Third-Party Links and Advertising

QRe-AME displays advertisements provided by Google AdSense. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements. QR codes may encode links to third-party websites; we have no control over and accept no responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or availability of such sites.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

QRe-AME is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Guarantees that QR codes will be scannable by all devices or applications
  • Guarantees of uninterrupted or error-free service availability
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy of any information on the site

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Mariano Chena and QRe-AME shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use or inability to use the service, including but not limited to loss of data, business interruption, or loss of profits.

Our total liability for any claim related to QRe-AME shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the service (which, for the free tier, is zero).

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Argentine Republic, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Argentina.
